Today was pictuer retake day. It went pretty well. Of course there are always those kids who do not want to smile and their parents are determined, but overall most every one was happy.
I did not have too many over all and several families, but it is interesting taking photos. You would be amazed at how difficult it is for some people and how easy it is for others. In spite of the fact that I have done it a long time I am always surprised by the different responses in people.
There is no doubt that digital does make photographs easier in many ways. When you want a big kid to stop pinching his lips together, and you try to convince him to just let his lips be a fraction apart, show him the photos of the pinched lips. He gets it in an instant and is ready to do what you wanted in the first place.
It’s not only those closed eyes you want to find. But in other ways digital is not as helpful. If you take lots of photos, the people in them want to agonize over the best one. Sometimes it is readily apparent, but others not so much. You just have to practice patience and that’s the key.
All in all it was a good day. I got a little homework done, I took many pictures and I had help from my friend Patrick in moving all the equipment. That was a true blessing.
I hope your day was good too.
God bless you.
