This is a casserole type recipe, but is mostly cooked on the stovetop and finished in the oven.
Brown 1 pound hamburger
1/2 c finely chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1 can tomato paste
1/4 c prepared mustard
1 C water
1 package frozen corn does not need to be defrosted
Cook and simmer until bubbly and corn is heated through
Add 3/4 C grated cheddar cheese
boil cubed potatoes
Mash, adding 1/2 c sour cream
1/4 c milk
salt and pepper
3/4 c grated cheese
Put meat mixture in a casserole dish, top with potato mixture, sprinkle with more cheese
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350.
This is a quick and tasty evening meal served with a green salad.
