Another beautiful day…
and one just right for driving around Cordova. I took our volunteer on a long drive through town as well as out the two roads that wind along the shore away from the town. Although she was here in May as part of the work group that came to do Vacation Bible School, she did not get this big tour of town and also needed to reorient herself a bit.
It was the perfect day for the drive. The sun was out, the sky was blue and the roads were dry and easy to traverse. I was happy to show her around and make sure she saw the landmarks and could find her way around.
She has already been walking from the church to my house and wants to begin bike riding soon. By her own admission she will need to get used to the hills, but she is used to riding and will probably be able to acclimate herself quickly.
It is always nice when someone is relatively each to please and wants to get used to her surroundings. I am thankful for that. Preschool is going well for her too and that is another big plus.
Father, thank you for blessings in abundance. I am thankful our volunteer seems happy and is easily acquainted with our community. Please bless her. Amen.
